Every single minute of your life is a chance for you to change for the better. Here are 5 tips to help you build your self-esteem.

Create a Compelling Vision
Every morning take 10 minutes to imagine yourself as the confident and self-assured person you aspire to become. When you are this person, how will you feel? How will you communicate? How will others perceive you? Afterwards write down a description of everything you observed and reread it during the day.

Do Something You Are Good At
Regularly doing things that you are good at reinforces your belief in your abilities and strengths. What are you especially good at or enjoy doing? Answer that question and then go do it.

Set Goals
According to a study done at Virginia Tech, 80% of Americans say they don’t have goals. And the people who regularly write down their goals earn nine times as much over their lifetime as people who don’t. Take some time out to set goals you’d love to achieve and then every day take action towards that goal. You’ll have a happier life and build your confidence along the way

Do Something that Scares You
As with all skills, we get better with practice and repetition. The more often we proactively do things that scare us, the less scary these situations become and the more confident we feel when trying new things. What is something that you’ve been wanting to try but it has scared you? Take the first step and make it happen.

Help Others Feel Good About Themselves
Research has repeatedly shown that when you help other people feel better, it makes you feel better about yourself. To get a confidence boost today perhaps you can be extra generous with compliments or offer to help someone with something they’re struggling with?
