VDaySo, Valentine’s Day is next weekend and at this time of year we are all bombarded with overpriced flowers, heart-shaped everythings and images of fancy shmancy dinners.

Being single on Valentine’s Day can be difficult but it can also be an awesome opportunity to celebrate the love that already IS in your life. Love comes in many forms, it is not just romantic. In fact, I’m sending love your way right now! If you’d like to celebrate the love that is already in your life perhaps you can skype with a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while, call a relative who would love to hear from you or get together with a group of peeps who always make you smile.

The day is yours and how you choose to spend it is completely up to you. You can choose to spend it reading a great new book, getting a massage or watching your favorite movie. If you’d like to ADD LOVE to the world perhaps you can volunteer at a local soup kitchen or even just help a mom with a stroller up the stairs. Nothing makes you appreciate what you already have faster than helping someone out when they need it.

Almost half of the adult population in the US is single so you are certainly not the only person who is single today. You have many more Valentine’s Days ahead of you and there are oodles of people with whom you could eventually fall in love with. I’ve seen countless instances which prove that romance can spark at any age and at any time!!! Now I want to hear from you, how do YOU like to celebrate Valentine’s Day? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments section below.
