Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you have a great celebration and that you’ve been taking time to give thanks for everything good in your life.
I’m often asked how I’m able to be so bubbly all the time. I’m going to share with you my secret in the hopes that it will help you become more joyful. I believe the key to happiness is to be grateful for everything in your life so every day I do these two things. They’ve both made a big difference in my life. First, before I even open my eyes in the morning I say to myself, “thank you for this beautiful day, I see it going smoothly and successfully.” This puts a smile on my face before I get out of bed.
Then at night before I go to sleep, I write down 5 things I’m grateful for and 5 things I did successfully that day in my journal. Some days I happily write that I accomplished great things that I’m very proud of. On other days the best thing I can write is that I brushed my teeth! Regardless, I’ll still somehow find 10 things to write in my journal because it reminds me of the good in my life and supports my joy.
